01 Introducing the College

An introduction to The European Prophetic College

The Endtime is in a special sense and measure prophetic time because it is a special time of fulfilment of prophetic words from the Lord.

The Endtime is prophetic time due to the amount of extraordinary listening required of the Church.

The Endtime is prophetic time due to the particular need of overcoming and obedience.

The Endtime is hysteric time and has to be counteracted by a prophetic Church who has allowed herself to turn away from emotionalism and hybris. The time, the mood and mode of the present time has to be spoken to, and judged by an obedient Church.

The prophetic dimension is the dimension of listening and obedience.

The prophetic dimension is the dimension of revelation and discernment.

The prophetic dimension is focusing true truth, is defending absolutes.

Love of the truth is the foundation of unity. Understanding and living in the prophetic dimension become essential to the Church in the Endtime.

The European Prophetic College began to develop as a concept in a Principal’s office in a Swedish Bible school some twenty years ago. We were eager to try to look for specific words from the Lord for our time, yet hesitated to believe in a prophetic type of personality, even less in a company of committed and upright able to speak on behalf of the Lord.

As time has passed, many events and situations has helped to restructure our thinking. We have found it to be more or less a necessity to speak up and act with prophetic bravery and exactitude. We have also found many dear friends throughout the world who has moved through the same type of struggle as we have. The core group of Intercessors Network and our relation to the Assembly of African Prophets has more than any other groups or institutions become rolemodels for us. The intercessors has taught us practicalities as to changing the spiritual climate through prayer. The African connection has bestowed upon us an unforgettable lesson concerning the language of the prophetic dimension.

The aim of the College is to provide a setting where the prophetic office might find freedom and support to develop, a setting where the prophetic office might find proper limits to develop into a true reflection of the holy.

The aim of the College is to speak to the Church as it tend to move further and further away into likeness to the World and its civilised hedonism and humanistic paganism.

The aim of the College is to look to the Lord of lords and King of kings for words to the kings and to men in authority positions. Our firm belief is that God is present and is not silent. His words are still the words of the Book and are words calling to repentance and adherence. His words are solid words, most fit for the many aspects of our modern society.

The College has been in operation for some ten years, beginning in prophetic settings and situations in Ireland. It finds its participants and contributors in a flexible mix of relations to a wide variety of expressions of the Kingdom.

The College will not allow itself to submit to any restrictions as to behavioural and conceptual identification and limitation particular to one or another expression of the Kingdom. The College will be, in any given situation, eager to look to the Cross and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The prophetic dynamics is sustained and displayed today, as in the olden days, according to the Book.

What we want to do at this moment is to strengthen the network, the open College. What we see fit to do at the moment is to operate a network function via an E-mail list, where the concepts of the prophetic realm are displayed, where prophetic insights are displayed and tested.

Your contributions, suggestions and questions along these lines are certainly welcome. The College is college, a company of the upright – Ps111:1. The College is at its best a company of committed saints in making. The interaction is the setting in which we grow and learn.
